If I use CBD will I fail a drug test?

I get this question quite frequently, here's a quick answer for you...
First, it is important to understand your company policies. If you get drug tested it will depend on what your employer is testing for. Most employers don’t have a test specifically for CBD (Cannabidiol). Usually they’re looking for THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol). Look at the label and identify if the CBD products you’re consuming contain THC or not. Products made with CBD isolate or broad spectrum oil should contain zero THC. Products made with full spectrum oil may legally contain up to 0.3% THC.
Consuming edibles or ingestible products with full spectrum oil could lead to positively testing for THC. You are at risk of failing a drug test if you consume products containing THC. Your CBD product should contain text on the packaging letting you know if it contains THC or not. If you don’t see the warning you can look at the batch or lot number COA (Certificate Of Analysis). If you cannot find any of this information I recommend getting a CBD product from a different company.

If you're using a topical body or face lotion, cream, balm, freeze chances are extremely unlikely you would fail a drug test. Unless your employer were to conduct a hair test in a location where you apply the lotion.

CBD Broad Spectrum Oil: Contains 0.0% THC. An oil that contains CBD and other compounds except for THC.
CBD Full Spectrum Oil: Contains up to 0.3% THC. An oil that contains CBD and many other compounds found in the hemp plant including THC.
CBD (cannabidiol): A non-intoxicating cannabinoid compound found in the cannabis and hemp plant.
THC (tetrahydrocannabinol): Responsible for psychoactive effects. The primary cannabinoid found in cannabis. Commonly the compound tested for in marijuana drug tests.
